There are two kinds of people :
Those who work and
Those who take the credit.
Try to be in the first group, competition is less there.

This report says that the entire city will go Wi-Fi in next three months. Thats great progress on infrastructure.
Another report here says that Air India has finally signed agreement for land for aircraft maintenance. Superb, should Nagpurians expect to see many boeings flying to Nagpur for maintenance.
About a month ago, yes, this post was hanged up since long. I had been to Indian Passport Centre in Karama. It took me few minutes to search for the Indian Visa and Passport Centre in Karama. There is a “big” A4 sized paper printout pasted on the entry door of the building saying that the centre is at 3rd floor, flat no 302. As advertised, it should be 301, so again confusion. Then, at 301, there is a small board saying come from 302.
There was not much rush at the counter. There, I got into a fix again, I forgot to take xerox of a paper from the passport. I requested the centre officials to give me a xerox copy, they quickly said that the xeroxing machine is not working. I told them, if I can get a paper faxed so I need to have xerox copy, now the fax machine is also not working. So I enquired where to get xerox from? They said go down and SEARCH. Now I have to google down to find a xerox machine, and I need it quick, dont want to waste the time for that stuff.
Luckily, I found an office besides the centre and went inside. I requested them to give me a xerox copy of just one page, and they happily did so, and even laughed at the Indian Centre. That made me understand, that I was not the first one. The lady refused to accept money for doing copy of the page.
I hope Indian centre wakes up and gets it infrastructure working.
About a fortnight ago, I sold my old laptop which I had bought sometime ago, and bought a new one. Dell Inspirion Mini 1012. It came with a years warranty and 3 year extra warranty from the place I bought it.
It was shipped with Windows 7 starter version with license and the hard disk was a single huge partition. I installed ubuntu on it. Then thought if I can get the partitions created by the company personnel itself. The 3 year warranty was with software issues. But the company refused to handle the case, as they said it has to be with Windows ONLY.
Anyways, I got it partitioned and installed Windows 7 again. Yesterday, I coiped the Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop ISO on the E drive, downloaded the wubi installer to C driver, and it found out tiself the iso file and installed Ubuntu in flat 10 mins. It was great.
So, a happy ending: Windows 7 and Unbuntu 10.04 co-exist on the same hard drive partition!
A couple of days ago, I had to make a phone call, co-incidentally another person picked up the phone, and so we *had* to talk. While just talking with him, he enquired with me, if I will be doing some work — which according to him I should be doing. I said no, I am not having any plans to do that as of now. So he gave me a full 5 min lecture on telling me why and what I should do and all that stuff. I listened to it, obediently, and then slowly asked him if he is going to do it. And he was quick to explain that he cant do it with various reasons cited and quickly transferred the phone to the person whom I was actually looking for.
Asking others to do everything, and when it comes to doing it with self, list of excuses ? There is an saying in hind: “Nahi karne ke 1760 bahane!”.
